While the gap between wealth and poor seems to get larger and larger even in societies of industrial countries, it becomes more and more evident that charities are an important factor to fight poverty around the globe. Browsing the world wide web on that topic, more and more popular websites decided to commit to certain charities. Some decide to support certain charities permanently, others chose to be more flexible. So is LinkMommy.com who elected to establish a column headlined:
'Charity of the Month'
In the month of September 2009, they supported Moose International, local Moose Lodge in Venice, Florida. Moose International is a fraternity with more than 1700 lodges in the U.S., Canada, Bermudas, and in the United Kingdom. They are based out of Illinois/USA. Since more than 100 years, Moose International has contributed to society by providing exceptional care for disadvantaged youngsters and the elderly.
For the months of October and November 2009, LinkMommy.com decided to honor the victims of Agent Orange, mostly Vietnam Veterans, for the second month in a row, namly as official LinkMommy.com 'Charity of the Month' for the month of November.
In their opinion, topic itself, and circumstances many veterans have to live with, deserve all our attention, active involvement, and financial aide in form of donations.
Information about Agent Orange, and information about disadvantages many Vietnam Veterans face, can be found at LinkMommy.com, column 'Charity of the Month'. Donations go directly to victims, under no circumstances to LinkMommy accounts.
Contact person is Mr. Patrick Sullivan of Salisbury/NC, who learned that he
suffers from Agent Orange in September of 2009.
Besides Harleyradio.com, he also runs different radio stations online. Harley Radio can be listened to at FM 96.3 in the Salisbury/NC area. Great music 24/7!
